Erotic Bowling Balls and a VERY Tiring Day

I. Am. So. Tired!

Today was a Wednesday, so class started at 8:53. I couldn't fall asleep last night until around 1 a.m., so I was still pretty tired this morning.

Anyway, in band today, Mr. D told us that we can either a) go to a special, former-student concert for an hour and a half OR b) write a three page, single-spaced, 12 point font essay about the history of jazz, along with a follow-up presentation to the class. I guess he REALLY wants us to go to that concert!

After lunch, I had a 5-lap run in P.E. Fun stuff. I got my best time so far, though (7:16), which I was quite proud of. I ran the first three laps WAY too fast- my first lap was 67 seconds- and I really felt that afterward. The rest of the day went quite smoothly, though. It was really nice to see all my friends again after what felt like a mini vacation. I was also able to get all my signatures for my guidance counselor meeting tomorrow, which is a plus. I'm really not looking forward to A/G calc or Spanish III Honors, though :P

Then came the most stressful part of today: track practice. I'm probably just complaining because I'm out of shape, and coach Jen said it would be a hard workout, but it was surprisingly tiring. Basically, we ran 4 pairs of 200 and 400 meter sprints, with 90 seconds of rest between each pair. After that, we ran a 15 minute cooldown off campus. The group I was in was composed of two juniors, someone who I think was a sophomore, and another freshman. Unfortunately, this certain freshman is infamous for being overly quiet to the extent that he says around one or two sentences daily. Thus, I was forced to listen uncomfortably as the two juniors (who seemed to be very good friends) chatted on. I kept wanting to chime in, but the moment never felt quite right. Besides, I'm a freshman.... they wouldn't want to talk with me, would they? At last, we finished our workout and were free to go home.

I should probably stop writing so I can finish up my homework. When I really think about it, most of the work I have this week is due Friday.... but maybe this once I'll decide not to screw myself over ;) World Studies exam tomorrow.... I guess I should also study up about Japan.

Fun Fact of the Day: Japan is a pacifist nation! Who knew....
For those of you who knew that one already, here's another.

Dueling is legal in Paraguay as long as both parties are registered blood donors!
So next time you want to settle a score with an old rival, sign some medical forms, grab your passport, and head on over to Paraguay. If anybody asks, I didn't just say that.

PS My friend Roger made up this story today at lunch where he had a "sexual adventure" with a bowling ball. From now on, I will be sure to check the holes before putting my fingers in.
